Tzvi Barax, COO is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of dedicated  service in the long-term care industry.  Throughout his tenure, he has consistently demonstrated a unique ability to transform health care facilities, elevating them to five-star status through strategic leadership and a focus on empowering the front line staff.  Tzvi has realized a long time ago that compared to the front line staff, he is the least important person in a healthcare facility.  Tzvi’s passion for excellence in long-term care is evident in his hands-on approach, as he collaborates with and inspires staff at all levels to deliver exceptional care to residents.  His innovative strategies and commitment to fostering a positive work environment have not only improved the quality of care within these facilities but also created a lasting impact on the overall well-being of the residents and the satisfaction of their families.  Outside the facility, he finds immense joy in his role as a family man.  His best days are spent with his wife and 2 daughters, emphasizing the importance of work-life balance and personal connections.  His ability to balance professional and personal responsibilities underscores his leadership acumen but also his commitment to creating a positive and enriching environment at home.  In a home with 3 Jewish woman, Tzvi is thankful his daughters got his wives street smarts, book smarts, and musical talent.

Dan Norman serves as the President of Encore Healthcare Partners, where he spearheads the financial division of the company with an unwavering commitment to excellence. With a keen eye for innovation and a passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency, Daniel specializes in developing cutting-edge PowerBI programs tailored to the healthcare sector. His expertise lies in creating data-driven solutions that optimize operational processes, streamline workflows, and enhance overall performance. Daniel’s visionary leadership and dedication to pushing the boundaries of financial analytics have played a pivotal role in positioning Encore Healthcare Partners as a frontrunner in the industry, driving sustained growth and success. In his down time, Dan researches the menus of restaurants days in advance of him eating there. While making quick and calculated decisions is his work MO, he can not, for the life of him, figure out what he wants to order in a restaurant in real time.

   Drawing on years of experience and a deep understanding of both finance and technology, Daniel Norman is renowned for his ability to transform complex data into actionable insights that empower informed decision-making. His strategic approach to harnessing the power of PowerBI not only improves financial management within Encore Healthcare Partners but also sets new standards for operational excellence across the healthcare landscape. With a track record of delivering tangible results and a commitment to continuous innovation, Daniel remains at the forefront of driving transformative change within the industry, ensuring Encore Healthcare Partners remains a trailblazer in delivering exceptional financial solutions for healthcare providers. Dan’s favorite people in the world are his incredible wife and 4 children. He loves spending time with them, especially in Disney World. Ok maybe Disney isn’t his favorite…

It took Avi less than 24 hours into his job as a maintenance assistant in an Assisted Living community to realize a few things:

1) He LOVED seniors.

2) He was an absolutely terrible maintenance employee. See number 3.

3) You can not ask the residents to help paint their own rooms as a recreation activity. Never having done it before is no excuse apparently.

4) When he had employees of his own, he would make sure they loved their jobs. He had been in their shoes himself.

     After becoming the youngest Administrator in NY state history, Avi knew his path both personally and professionally was to not only own his own Senior Living communities, but create a culture based off of the understanding that every resident who is under his care had lived a full life before moving in to his community. Every resident is unique, not just a number on a page, and needs to be cared for as if they were our own parents.

     Both of Avi’s paternal grandparents had advanced stages of Alzheimer’s and lived with him, his 7 siblings, and his parents in their home in New York. Some of his earliest memories were walking his grandfather to synagogue wondering why he was repeating the same questions over and over. The Encore Memory Care units are by far his favorite of all the levels of care they offer, and its not even close.

      Avi currently lives in New York with his incredible wife, 4 daughters, and mother in law (more on this another time). While he is the CEO of Encore Healthcare Services, he is clearly not the CEO at home, with no hope of a promotion any time soon. He can be found taking out the garbage, changing diapers, and failing miserably at attempting to make pony tails every morning.

As Vice President of Operations, Chantal Cornfield brings over a decade of dedicated experience, cultivating a career centered on resident joy, employee wins, and operational success. With a foundation in pre-medical studies from the University of South Florida and a Masters in Business Health Service Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy, Chantal seamlessly blends healthcare insight with strategic business acumen. Under Chantal’s leadership, her teams has consistently excelled in both sales and operational growth, by embodying the vision that if we take care of our teams, then our teams will take even better care of our residents.  Outside of work Chantal can be found traveling to unusual counties, doing crafts with her daughter, dancing around the house with her son or frequenting sporting events to relive her glory days as a college athlete. Clearly the best athlete on the Encore team (that’s not saying much in all honesty), she pushes everyone to be the best version of themselves. Regardless of role or title, everyone in Encore looks up to Chantal.

As the Director of Financial Operations, Miriam Shain oversees the financial and administrative functions of the company. With a proven track record of success and a wealth of experience, Miriam is dedicated to excellence. Her meticulous attention to detail and strategic mindset, position her to lead Encore’s financial operations to new heights, one perfect spreadsheet at a time. Miriam’s OCD keeps her organizing her stapler collection by size, while the rest of the Encore team’s ADHD has them forgetting where they left their staplers in the first place.

Brandon Kiefer, Vice President of Culinary Services.  Brandon brings a rich blend of 12 + years of expertise in senior living operations, culinary & dining services, leadership development and operational transitions.  With a passion for creating exceptional experiences, Brandon, who often gets mistaken for Patrick Dempsey, has been a driving force behind the operational success of senior living communities across the country.  Beyond senior living, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family, sharing dad jokes, playing the guitar, dining at new restaurants, and is an avid DIYer of home projects.  Join Brandon on the culinary journey at Encore Healthcare Services, where passion, expertise, and the #CareToTheCore commitment come together to redefine the art of dining. Meet Adena, a skilled Power BI developer and Business Analyst with a passion for data analysis and visualization. With a focus on transforming raw data into actionable insights, Adena’s experience in the healthcare industry has been instrumental in driving informed business decisions. Away from her computer, you can find Adena in the kitchen baking cookies with her two princesses with baby shark playing on repeat.

Toni Foster, Vice President of Plant Operations is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in Senior Living & Hospitality. With a passion for ensuring operational excellence, Toni oversees Plant Operations with a commitment to quality and efficiency. Toni partners closely with Sales and Marketing departments to share her expertise in creating unforgettable and ever-lasting first impressions .In addition to receiving the National Resident Satisfaction award, Toni is also a certified Assisted Living Administrator. Outside of the professional realm, Toni finds joy in spending time with her grandchildren and relaxing by the pool. Her go-to order from Dunkin Donuts is a Large Iced Coffee, 3 shots of cream, 3 shots of caramel, a splash of Almond Milk and extra ice.
